We need more place like that...

That's what I wrote on the guestbook of this very special place. Var Frue Kirke, the Church of Our Lady, is an open Church (literaly, until midnight everyday) where anybody, regardless of is age, status or confession, can come in to find warmth. Physical warmth through a seat and a warm drink (with biscuits, bread, butter and jam) or spiritual warmth through a friendly conversation or a peaceful moment. We even saw a man having a nap on a one of the benches.





We had coffee, teas and biscuits, each lighted a candle and held hands, and the kids entertained so



Volunteers working here (more than 500) are called byengler - city's angels. And definitely need more of these.
